Fairy Magic Wands.

This is a Beautiful Idea. You can use it as an interesting Activity to make with the Girls in the Party. 

In the original idea all the elements are part of a set, which is sold to make Handicrafts. However, I think this wand is really easy to make with normal materials. Here you have my proposal:  

You´ll need:

- Wrapping paper.
- Plastic white or pastel colours sticks.
- Glitter.
-Glue.
- Punch.
- Double-sided tape.
- Ornaments like pearls, precious stones, plastic flowers, stickers...

- Coloured silk threads. In case you dont´s know what silk threads are, they are thicker threads made out of shiny colours.
- Needles.

Download and print out these moulds in the size you prefer (It´d be better if you print them onto poster board, two for each girl):

Share among the girls the moulds, the glue, and the squares made out of wrapping paper. They should be half a centimeter bigger than the moulds. Girls should glue the moulds onto the wrapping paper and cut them out as exactly as they can.  

While the glue onto the moulds dries, girls should spread glue onto the plastic wands. Wands have to be rolled onto papers with glitter spread on top. Let them dry.

Use double-sided tape to stick two identical shapes. They should fit perfectly with each other, since the wrapping paper side should face out. Use the punch to make holes onto the edge of each figure. Then, unstick the double-sided tape.  

Stick the figures to one of the ends of the plastic stick covered by glitter. Then, pass the silk thread through the holes as it is showed in the picture. Don´t sew a piece of thread and put inside a bit of cotton, so figures will be bulky. 

Fnish sewing.

Variation: If you don´t mind girls make a mess in the events room, instead of filling the figures up with cotton, fill them up with stars, hearts, confetti, and glittering. Don´t sew a couple of holes. When girls move the wands, this filling goes out through these unsew holes as it were fairy dust. Refill the wands through the same hole.

Share the materials among the girls, so they can decorate as they like.
